BBye

It’s around 3:00AM Pacific Time and I’m going to sleep in a while. I’m just waiting for something to finish. We’re leaving Seattle later. Time of departure is 2:35PM, I think.

Josh went here earlier. We bought him toys before they arrived. It’s our “surprise” for him. When they slept here last Sunday, we were in the bedroom and I was carrying a plastic bag and he asked me: “What’s in the bag Tata? Is that my surprise?”. Hehe. So we got him his “surprise”. He said he’ll go to the Phillipines, too. When they were on the way to where we’re staying, he told his dad not to drive cause the Philippines is far. He actually thought they were going to the Philippines. HEHE.

I haven’t finished packing my things. I’ll finish doing it later. I should have bought the bigger luggage (which is at home). I swear it’s so hard to make all my things + pasalubong fit in the luggages I have. Ergh.

Only my dad will bring us to the airport. Good luck with the luggages. Heh.

Anyway. I’ll be back in Manila by 11pm, May 30th.

Later. :)

Babu in a few

I’ll need to say byebye (or see you soon) to Joshie in a few days. I’ll miss Josh. He’s 3 y/o now and he’s very talkative. When we left Seattle back in November 2006, he was still a baby. My sister (Joshua’s mom) told me that Josh would point to the unit we used to live in (they live across the street from the building) like he wanted to go visit us. See, my mom took care of him back then when my Ate went to work. He’s used to staying with us during the day. Of course he doesn’t know we left that’s why he used to do that.

Even though he was just a baby back then, he always knew me. He never forgot his “tata”. Thanks to the many pictures of us together saved in his mom’s laptop. hehe.

I’ve been telling him that I’ll be leaving again soon and he would just say “No!” over and over. I wish I’m not leaving, too. Bah. I’ll really miss him. He’s like the bibo baby brother I never had and never will have. hehe.

Now he’s a already a little boy, I know he won’t forget me. I’m his favorite Tata. Plus with the hundreds of pictures we took, I doubt he will. hehe

Another random blog entry.

I probably need to blog more. Heh. My mom, brother and I went to the Space Needle (can’t remember when!!) and took lotsa pictures. Also went to Vancouver BC with the whole family last Saturday. Lotsa pictures too. Pictures in my multiply. Will blog about them some other time, though. Too lazy to do so right now.

Spurs VS Lakers in the WCF. Let’s go Spurs! Game 1 later. :]

EDIT - So Spurs lost game 1. Bawi next time! HMP. /EDIT

Joshie is talkative and cute. Hehe. :D He speaks taglish. More english though. He says utot a lot. And pwet. Mehehe.

I got me a new camera. Thanks to pops and kuya.

I also got a nano. Thanks to pops again. It was his. Now it’s mine. Mwahahahaha. I got a spiffy speaker for it too. Lovesss it. :]

Alo gave me a watch for my birthday last 2006 and I liked the watch a lot. In fact, I used it everyday. Hehe. Unfortunately, the strap snapped and I don’t think the strap can be replaced. It’s a Nike Triax something something watch. I found the same watch in eBay and I seriously want to buy it even if the strap will probably snap again someday. I like it. I want to buy it. Should i? I should right? Heh. My left wrist (??) feels kinda “naked” and light without a watch.

I got myself a new dog tag! Still have the old one. Just don’t know where it is. Heh. Yeyeyey me.

I want to buy some things online but I forgot my stupid debit card in the Philippines and these “some things” can’t be paid via PayPal. Meh.

I hate the season finale for Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill. Chuck is an ass. Blair doesn’t have any luck with boys. Lucas should be with Brooke. Just because. Heh.

Laaater! (Go Spurs! Next game. Next gaaame.HAHA)

I was watching TNT’s Inside The NBA (May 11 episode) earlier and the show’s hosts (Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley) weren’t wearing any shoes. Charles Barkley even had his toenails painted red. Heh. The reason for their not wearing shoes is to raise awareness for Samaritan’s Feet. And no, this isn’t a sponsored post. Hehe.

Samaritan’s Feet’s mission is to give 10 million impoverished children worldwide 10 million shoes in 10 years. Taken from the organization’s website, “Samaritan’s Feet is a humanitarian non-profit organization dedicated to taking a life-changing message of hope to people and equipping the feet of impoverished children in the US and around the world with shoes.” The founder of the organization, Manny Ohonme, received his first pair of shoes when he was 9 years old. To think most of us already had our first pair even before we were born.

I don’t like walking around the house without my slippers on. Imagine the people who have to walk around outside barefoot because they don’t have anything to put on. Imagine them walking barefoot under the burning rays of the sun. Imagine them walking on grounds that have things that can injure them. Have you seen asphalt roads when the temperature’s really high? Yes? Walking barefoot on the beach is hard enough. Imagine people walking barefoot on asphalt.

Having shoes is not as important as having food to eat, but I think it’s great that there’s an organization such as Samaritan’s Feet. I don’t have anything I can donate right now and posting about this doesn’t really count as “spreading the word” cause I don’t really have a lot of people dropping by here, but, I certainly hope Samaritan’s Feet, together with all the people who are trying to help the impoverished around the world (including those in the Philippines) in different ways, succeed.

I’m ready

…to tell y’all about the trip. HEHE.

WARNING: Picture-heavy post. Hover for the captions.

We were supposed to leave Pinas at 8am on the 27th of April. The flight got delayed. Said we would have to leave at 8:30, 9:00, 9:30, 12:00nn, 4:00pm, 4:30, 5:00, etc…. At 12:00nn, my mom and I decided to call my pop to ask if we should just rebook and leave on the 28th. Pop said yea, so we did. I’m glad we decided to do that cause I found out the next day that the flight got canceled after all.

Me and Alo at the airport Waiting for the god damned flight to push through.
