Now because I was too lazy to post the supposed-to-be-posted entry last week, you can find it behind the cut. Hehe
Work’s been keeping me busy. I say wow, it’s the 4th week of August 2nd week of September. And I’m not complaining. :)
Joshiepoo update. Knows the peace sign (last picture in previous blog entry. ;P), Knows how to say Thank you (TITU) and Excuse me (TUTI), Dances to Buttons (and Bebot and all other music he hears. hehe), Pretends he’s typing (he sees me using the computer a lot. bad. hehe), Knows how to shake hands with other people, and he knows the Filipino gesture, “mano”, hugs and kisses everyone (well atleast people he’s familiar with) when he’s in the mood, Is a bad bad baby, Is my shadow when he’s here (he’s always following meee), Says “DUN!” while pointing somewhere.
I have this coworker who’s half Pinoy. He’s crazy. Always talking. Hehe. He knows a few Tagalog words. He’s always saying the same thing like “Kamusta na?” or “Unggoy” or Bakit diyan?” and a few other phrases/words/sentences. Or some random words even if they don’t make sense. Hehe
G (coworker), N (me!)
G: You know how old I am?
N: 28? (I overheard it when he and our other coworker were talking. He doesn’t really look 28. More like early 20s.)
G: Yeah. I’ll be kuya or Manong. How old are you?
N: Take a guess!
G: 22
N: Nooooo. :o
He got it correct the 5th or 6th time. Hehe. Funny. I don’t think I look 22! I know I look younger. Hehe :)
G: How do say ‘tired’ in Tagalog?
N: Pagod
G: Pagod. How do you spell it? P-U-G-O-O-D?
Heh. You should really hear them (yknow, people who don’t really speak tagalog) try to speak in tagalog. So funny. In a good way funny.
G: Do you watch that game show in the Filipino channel?
N: What game show?
G: Waheehee? I don’t know. Something like that.
Anywayyy, I subscribed to ABS-CBN now just to be able to watch UAAP. Ofcourse I watch other shows too, but not really since we have TFC. And there’s WRR too! It was actually kinda weird listening to the station. Made me reminisce about the Philippines. Heh. It also made me think how I’d feel when I go home. I never really asked my dad how he felt when he goes home (Pinas) for vacation.
While I was on the bus going home, my mom called and we conversed in Tagalog. After the call, the old man across the isle said “Pinoy ka pala. Kala ko ‘di ka Pinoy kasi singkit ka eh. (i don’t think I’m that singkit)” I just smiled and said “Pinoy po.” I don’t get that often from Pinoys especially when I’m talking. Hehehe. I actually think it’s easy to tell if someone is Pinoy when you’re Pinoy. You won’t be right all the time though. (:

ang cute naman pag abroad, parang pag kapwa Pinoy andaling makipagkilala. Malamang onti lang Pinoy dun. Unlike dito, takot na takot sa mga strangers eh halos lahat naman tayo Pinoy dito sa Pinas. Kala mu nanakawan ka lagi pag hindi mo siya kilala. hahaha! :weird:

Haha!! Buti ka pa at may ka officemate na pinoy, kahit kalahati lang. Ako, pag may naririnig akong nagsasalita ng tagalog, natutuwa ako!!! hehe!!
Kanina, naginum and hang out ako with officemates, tapos edi super kwentuhan with Kristin, aba sa sobrang daldal ko ata, nasingit ko ang tagalog. Parang na taglish. Syempre mas sanay naman ako managalog diba?! HAHA tawa sya. ang cute daw. HAHA!!!!
May pinoy akong nakasakay sa bus dati tapos sabi 25 daw ako. Nyeh! Hahaha!! Umpugin ko sya eh!
